How LocalBH Awards handles your data.
What we collect
Account details for verified voting, nomination details you submit, claim evidence from businesses, and promotion enquiry details.
Device data
To help detect duplicate or manipulated votes, we may process limited technical information about your device and internet connection, such as your IP address, browser and device type. We convert this information into a coded identifier for fraud-prevention purposes. We do not keep the original technical fingerprint, and the coded identifier is deleted when it is no longer operationally necessary.
Consent
Service messages about your account, votes or enquiry are separate from marketing. Marketing consent is off by default, recorded with a timestamp, and can be withdrawn at any time.
Retention
Risk signals are stored as coded identifiers for a configurable retention period and are not kept longer than operationally necessary. Raw fingerprints are not retained.
Sharing
Sponsors and partners receive aggregate statistics only. They never receive identifiable voter data, live totals or vote-level data.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account. Requests are handled through the LocalBH Awards contact channel published for the cycle.
